Description
The Robocrop Interrow Sideshift system guides linear crop accessories accurately and at high speed to mechanical weed control between crop lines. This robotic system can be adapted to any type of linear processing machine (diggers, milling machines, etc.) to offer automatic optimal guidance to the accessory so that it always works in the center of the lines.
How it works
The foliage of the crop in front of the accessory (along the way) is recorded by a video camera. The image is processed by the processing brain to calculate the largest concentration of “green” pixels, related to the location of the crop lines. Due to the large detection range of the camera and the simultaneous monitoring of multiple lines, optimal placement of the accessory in the center of the rows is achieved.
Robocrop InterRow Sideshift compares the final processed image according to a predefined pattern that describes the normal line spacing of the crop. The information is then used to guide the accessory to the center of the lines through a hydraulic side shift system.
The integrated grid matching function, allows the system to adapt well to conditions of strong presence of weeds. Multi-camera systems for different working widths can be built to accommodate large accessories, allowing even greater processing efficiency.
