Description
Garford Robocrop InRow Weeder uses proven Robocrop video analysis and processing technologies to independently detect plants for mechanical weed control between plant rows but more importantly between in plants on the same row.
Developed for use mainly in transplanted crops, such as lettuce, cabbage, celery, etc. Robocrop In-Row can be adapted and used in most linear crops planted at constant distances lines and plant-to-plant distances, where the foliage of each plant stands out from the next in a row.
The pruning accuracy reaches a distance of 8mm from the stem of the plant, thus allowing the effective treatment of weeds throughout the field since for distances less than 8mm, the beneficial crop beats the competing weeds.
How does it work?
Robocrop InRow is based on the same technology of the successful Robocrop Inter-Row precision navigation system. Robocrop InRow uses a high-resolution digital camera to take photos in front of the carver. These photos are analyzed to identify the individual locations of the independent plants as they pass through the image. This information is then used to move the sculptor horizontally / guide and independently synchronize the InRow sculpting discs. The Robocrop computer constantly modifies the rotation speed of the disks to compensate for the variable distance from plant to plant.
